§ 15-6. Consulting fees.

  • (a)

    A consulting fee is established to be charged to institutions, organizations and individuals utilizing health department data, patients and/or facilities in research and/or demonstration projects. This consulting fee shall be two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) per project or one-half (0.5) percent of the total project cost, whichever is higher. Consulting fees shall not be charged to research and/or demonstration projects that are cosponsored by the health department and in which the health department receives other project related financial support.

    All potential research and/or demonstration projects that will utilize health department data, patients and/or facilities must be reviewed by the health department institutional review board and receive approval from the said board.

    (b)

    A consulting fee is established to be charged to individuals and establishments requesting consulting services from the food and environmental division of the health department. This consulting fee shall be one hundred thirty-five dollars ($135.00) per hour with a one-hour minimum.

    (c)

    Fees collected under this section shall be deposited in the city general fund.

    (d)

    The established consulting fees shall be paid before consulting activities related to the health department can take place.
