It shall be unlawful for any person afflicted with any communicable disease to be
or remain in this city, or for any physician to treat any such afflicted person, or
for any person to keep, nurse or care for any such afflicted person, unless notice
of the presence of such contagious disease be given to the director of public health
as required in this article and also unless such afflicted person be kept, cared for
and treated under the conditions prescribed in this article. The presence and treatment
otherwise than as aforesaid of any person afflicted with a contagious disease is hereby
prohibited and declared to be a public nuisance and a menace to the health of the
city, which it shall be unlawful for any person to permit, maintain or continue in
any apartment or on any premises in this city owned, or occupied or controlled by
him.
