§ 19-342. Insurance.

  • It shall be unlawful for any person to drive, operate, or allow to be operated, or cause, permit or allow any person within his employ to drive an ambulance, upon the public streets of this city, . unless he carries liability insurance for such ambulance in the amount of five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) per person and ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00) per accident to cover personal injury, and in the amount of five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) to cover property damage and unless he has filed with the city clerk a certificate of insurance, issued by an insurance company licensed to do business in the state, in the amounts specified above, which certificate shall recite that in case of cancellation of said insurance the insurer will give written notice to the city clerk of such proposed cancellation at least thirty (30) days prior to the effective date of such cancellation.
