§ 19-210. Former prisoners of war and Purple Heart recipients exempt from the payment of parking fees.

A vehicle displaying special license plates issued by the Texas State Department of
Highways and Public Transportation to former prisoners of war as provided in V.T.C.A.,
Transportation Code § 502.257, and to Purple Heart recipients, as provided in V.T.C.A.,
Transportation Code § 502.260, is exempt from the payment of parking fees collected
at parking garages and lots which are owned or leased by the city, or collected through
parking meters charged by the city. This exemption does not allow parking a vehicle
at a place or time that parking is prohibited.
