§ 21-161. Assessment of fees.

  • An amount of three (3) percent of the following charges assessed by the city shall be required to be paid at the time of application in addition to each such charge:

    Health department fees: Mobile living park operator's license, frozen dessert license reinstatement fee, ice cream & frozen dessert re-sampling fee, food establishment re-inspection fee, food managers certificates, vehicle prepackaged perishable food vendor permit, rendering establishments & storage, food establishment license, ice cream & frozen dessert permit, vehicle prepackaged nonperishable food vendor, food pushcart vending license, foot vending of food license, license replacement fee, vehicle prepared perishable food vendor permit, rendering materials collectors, duplicate permits, VA/FHA septic system certification, swimming pool license, air pollution inspection fee, cross connection survey, childcare fees, meat inspection fees, asbestos demolition inspections, custodial care inspection fee, special event food license, and livestock permits;

    Building inspections department fees: Sign erection permits, gas permits, sidewalk permits, electrical permits, plumbing permits, heating and air conditioning permits, re-inspection fees, sewer connection permits, and building permits;

    Planning department fees: Historic design review commission application fee, plan amendment fee, zoning procedures, postponement request fee, non-conforming rights fee-zoning, zoning verification fee, emergency add-on fee, minor plats, plan review fees, vacating declaration fees, replat fees, major plats, historic design review commission inspection fees, plat deferral fee, amending plat fees, site improvement time extension fee, and development plat fee; and

    Fire department fees: Smoke control plan & review test, above-ground temp. flam. Liquid permit, hazardous chemical-flammable liquid tank permit, amusement park firework display permit, amusement park permit pyrotechnics, amusement park storage, fire record & search, blaster permit, new fire sprinkler system fee, fast track sprinkler permit, major sprinkler system not involving heads, sprinkler mod fee, underground fire line, standpipe, hydrants, explosive handlers permit, new fire alarm systems fee, fast track fa permit, major alarm mod not involving initiating and or signaling devices, fire alarm remodel, fire alarm panel replacement, float/food booth permit, waste oil tanks and class III combustible liquid thanks, flammable liquids leak tracing, gaseous suppression system permit, reschedule fee, after hours inspection, fire watch, inspections - hospital/nursing home, inspections - day care/foster home, general inspections, minor re-inspections, explosive site permit, explosive site evacuation permit, explosive site swimming pool, pyrotechnics, quarry blasting permit, explosive storage permit, burning permits, double permit, lab/clinics/massage therapy/rehab/physical therapy/or similar occupancies/bonded warehouses or similar occupancies, lpg tank permits, fireworks display and bonfire permit, fixed pipe fire extinguishing system permit, environmental research, filing an appeal, working w/o a permit, change of address, spray paint booths, fuel lines, standby fire company, waste oil tank plan review and insp., re-inspection fees - fire codes, above ground storage tank fee, fire protection system rescheduling fee, other fire protection system improvements, underground storage tank fee, permit investigation fee, fire protection system retest fee, and recovery fee: fire prevention, as well as any future fire prevention fees covered under section 11-16.
