§ 22-21.1. Participation fees.

    An annual fee shall be charged for participation in after school youth programs in accordance with the fee structure set forth below:

    (d)

    A youth sports participation fee of ten dollars ($10.00) will be charged to each participant per sport per league season registration for recreational sports, swim teams and softball leagues.

    (e)

    The fee for cultural based instructional classes shall be sixty dollars ($60.00) per adult (age eighteen (18) to fifty-nine (59)) per participant per class; thirty dollars ($30.00) per youth and persons age sixty (60) and over, per participant per class; fifteen dollars ($15.00) per youth each additional class, same youth; and, twenty-five dollars ($25.00) for each additional youth family member.

    Recreation program holiday/spring break camp supply fee of three dollars ($3.00) per day per participant per class.

    (h)

    Adult and senior program participation fee of fifteen dollars ($15.00) per participant per year for persons eighteen (18) to fifty-nine (59), and seven dollars ($7.00) per participant per year for persons sixty (60) and over.

    (i)

    City athletic leagues fees are as follows:

    (1)

    Youth softball team entry fee: Four hundred dollars ($400.00).

    (2)

    Gate admission fee of two dollars ($2.00) per person.

    Contracted program classes, fees to be determined, and revenue divided as follows:

    (1)

    Community centers: Seventy (70) percent to the instructor and thirty (30) percent to the city.

    (2)

    Senior centers: Eighty (80) percent to the instructor and twenty (20) percent to the city.

    Fitness room fees: One hundred twenty dollars ($120.00) per adult (eighteen (18) to fifty-nine (59)) per year per participant; thirty dollars ($30.00) per youth per year per participant; and twenty-five dollars ($25.00) for persons sixty (60) and over per year per participant.

    Adaptive sports program fees: Twenty dollars ($20.00) per adult (eighteen (18) to fifty-nine (59)) per sport per participant; twelve dollars ($12.00) per youth, per sport per participant; and ten dollars ($10.00) for persons sixty (60) and over, per sport per participant.

Editor's note

Ord. No. 2007-09-13-0973B, § 1, adopted September 13, 2007, states the following: "Section 22-21.1(a) of the City Code of the City of San Antonio relating to supply fees charged to participants enrolled in after school programs shall be rescinded effective December 31, 2007."
Ord. No. 98189, §§ 6, 7, adopted September 18, 2003, did not specify manner of inclusion; hence, inclusion as subsections (e) and (f) is at the discretion of the editor. Section 8 of said ordinance changed the title of § 22-21.1 from "program supply fees" to "participation fees." The historical notation has been preserved for reference purposes.
