§ 22-34. Commercial filming and movie production permit.

A permit is required for commercial filming and/or movie production activity in any city park, the River Walk, or Alamo Plaza. Applications for such filming or movie production activity shall be submitted to the San Antonio Film Commission in the city's convention and visitor's bureau. Fees for issuance of the commercial filming and movie production permit shall be as follows:

Area	Fee
River Walk	$200.00 per filming or production
Alamo Plaza	$200.00 per filming or production
All other city parks	$50.00 per filming or production

Upon receipt of approval from the San Antonio Film Commission, and receipt of the appropriate fee, the department of parks and recreation shall issue a permit for said activity. Fees will not be assessed for noncommercial filming activities designed solely to promote San Antonio as a tourist destination. Fee assessments and waivers will be a joint decision with the city's film commission and the department of parks and recreation.
