The city council hereby designates the area described as follows as Tourist Trade
Center No. 2:
Beginning at a point being the intersection of the center lines of Durango Boulevard
and South Alamo Street; thence, in a northerly direction along the center line of
South Alamo Street to its intersection with the center line of Nueva Street; thence,
in a westerly direction along the center line of Nueva Street to its intersection
with the center line of South Presa; thence, in a northerly direction along the center
line of South Presa crossing East Commerce and continuing along the center line of
North Presa to its intersection with the center line of East Houston Street; thence,
in an easterly direction along the center line of East Houston to its intersection
with the center line of Bonham Street; thence, in a southwesterly direction along
the center line of Bonham Street to its intersection with the center line of Crockett
Street; thence, in an easterly direction along the center line of Crockett to its
intersection with the center line of Bowie Street; thence, in a southerly direction
along the center line of Bowie Street to its intersection with the north right-of-way
line of East Commerce; thence, along the north right-of-way line of East Commerce
to its intersection with the center line of Chestnut Street; thence, in a northeasterly
direction along the center line of Chestnut to its intersection with the center line
of Centre Street; thence, in an easterly direction along the center line of Centre
Street to its intersection with the west right-of-way of the Southern Pacific Railroad;
thence, along the west right-of-way of the Southern Pacific Railroad; thence, along
the west right-of-way of the Southern Pacific Railroad to its intersection with the
center line of Galveston Street; thence, along the center line of Galveston Street
to its intersection with the center line of Hoefgen Avenue; thence, in a northerly
direction along the center line of Hoefgen Avenue to its intersection with the center
line of Hieman Street; thence, in a westerly direction along the center line of Hieman
Street to its point of intersection with the extension of the southwest boundary line
of Lot D, NCB 684; thence, in a northwesterly direction along the said extended line
across right-of-way of Sycamore Street along southwest boundary of NCB 684 and along
this extension to its intersection with south right. of-way of East Commerce; thence,
continuing along the south right-of-way line of East Commerce to its intersection
with the center line of Water Street; thence, continuing in a southerly direction
along the center line of Water Street across Market Street and continuing along the
center line of Bowie Street (Hemisfair Plaza) (Perimeter Road) to its intersection
with the center line of the Entry Road to the Tower of the Americas; thence, continuing
in a northwesterly direction along the center line of the Entry Road to the Tower
of the Americas to its intersection with the north extension of the north boundary
of a 6.0027 acre tract of U.T.S.A. property; thence, in a southwesterly direction
along the northern boundary of the U.T.S.A. property crossing a point on the northeast
property line of a 7.688 acre tract of the U.S. Federal Courthouse; thence, continuing
in a northwesterly, southwesterly direction along the boundary of said 7.688 acre
tract and along an extension of this line to its intersection with the center line
of Durango Boulevard; thence, along in a westerly direction along the center line
of Durango being a curve to the left to its intersection with the center line of South
Alamo being the point of beginning and containing one hundred fifty (150) acres more
or less.
