§ 5-161. Liability of owners of impounded animals.

(a)

The owner of an animal impounded remains subject to prosecution for violation of this chapter regardless of reclamation or nonreclamation.

(b)

The owner of an impounded animal remains liable for the fees incident to impoundment, regardless of reclamation of the animal or nonreclamation.
