§ 19-204. Reserved parking for City of San Antonio.

  • (a)

    Designation. The north side of Trevino Street from South Main Avenue to a point one hundred thirty-five (135) feet west of South Main Avenue is hereby reserved for the parking of vehicles either belonging to the City of San Antonio or operated by City of San Antonio personnel which has displayed on the front windshield dash an identification plaque approved by the director of the department of public works.

    (b)

    Violations. It should be unlawful and a violation of the provisions of this section for any person to cause, allow, permit or suffer any vehicle registered in the name of or operated by such person to be parked in any space hereby reserved for the city of San Antonio personnel unless there is displayed on the front windshield dash of such vehicles a valid identification plaque approved by the director of public works, or unless such vehicle is parked between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. daily, except Saturdays, Sundays and holidays named in section 19-218 of this Code.

    (c)

    Presumptions. Whenever any vehicle stands in a parking space reserved for the City of San Antonio personnel and such vehicle does not have a valid identification plaque approved by the director of the public works department displayed herein, such fact shall be prima facie evidence that the vehicle has been parked illegally and that the registered owner of such vehicle did knowingly cause, allow, permit or suffer such vehicle to be parked in such location.

    (d)

    Penalty. Any person who shall violate any provisions of this section shall be deemed to be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall upon conviction be punished in accordance with section 1-5, Chapter 1 of the City Code.
